Bush Names New Solicitor General

U.S. President George W. Bush named Paul D. Clement as the new U.S solicitor general on Friday.
Clement has been acting as solicitor general for the last eight months, and his nomination to permanently hold the post will need the approval of the Senate.
The solicitor general is the administration's top lawyer for cases and legal action with the Supreme Court.
