King Faisal University has been nominated for the Green Gown Awards for the third consecutive year. The university has been selected as a finalist in five different initiatives. Dr. Khaled Al-Barrak, Supervisor of the University's Department of Strategic Planning and Corporate Identity, explained that this nomination reflects the university's achievement of developing its corporate identity aimed at achieving food security and environmental sustainability, adding that the university adopted a clear and effective corporate identity and strategy, whose impact was reflected in its giving, the distinction of its ranking as one of the best global universities in sustainability. He stressed that the activation of identity projects and the transformation of the university's basic functions to enhance its contents have positively impacted the university's performances and practices in all sectors. The Green Gown Awards 2023 is granted to educational institutions with outstanding initiatives and projects in sustainability in partnership between the Association of Commonwealth Universities, the International Association of Universities, and the United Nations Environment Program.
