A team from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) met on Tuesday with Major General Elack Olivier Andriakaja, the Director General of the National Office of Risk and Disaster Management (BNGRC) of the Republic of Madagascar, along with other senior officials from the BNGRC, to discuss issues of mutual concern regarding humanitarian and relief affairs in Madagascar. The KSrelief team announced that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia would provide USD 2 million worth of in-kind food aid to the Republic of Madagascar in cooperation with the BNGRC to support its food needs. Major General Elack expressed his gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince for providing aid to the needy in Madagascar. He also noted that the Kingdom was the first to initiate the provision of food aid to those affected by cyclones in his country.
