A delegation from the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) visited the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Sunday as part of an inspection tour of the preparations for the Kingdom's hosting of the 2023 FIFA Club World Cup. It aims to assess the stadiums nominated to host the tournament, scheduled for December 12–22. The first visit, which lasted for three days, included inspection tours of King Fahd International Stadium, Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium, and King Saud University Stadium, in addition to a visit to training facilities in Riyadh. It is part of a series of visits to inspect sports and tournament facilities. For his part, Ibrahim Alkassim, Secretary General of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF), said that the Kingdom's organization of the 2023 FIFA Club World Cup for the first time reflects the significant development witnessed by the sports sector in general and football in particular, in addition to the generous support of the wise leadership. He expressed SAFF's aspiration for more cooperation with FIFA in a way that contributes to organizing an exceptional version of the tournament.
