President Rumen Radev of the Republic of Bulgaria will confer high state honors on leading Bulgarian scientists on Thursday, the Bulgarian President's Press Secretariat reported. Prof. Kamen Velev will receive the Order of the Balkan Range, First Class (the highest Bulgarian state distinction) for his contribution to the technological sciences. Prof. Atanas Kurtev will be awarded the Order of the Balkan Range, Second Class for his contribution to culture and art. Prof. Peter Delev, Prof. Stefan Kostyanev, and Prof. Daniela Dokovska will be distinguished with the Order of St Cyril and St Methodius, Collar. Delev will be honored for his contribution to the study of ancient history and Thracology, Kostyanev - for advancing medical science and education, and Dokovska - for her remarkable merits in law studies and legal education. The Order of St Cyril and St Methodius, First Class will go to Prof. Bozhidar Bozhinov for his work in the field of education, science, and construction practice.
