President of the General Court of Audit (GCA) Dr. Hussam Alangari and Chairman of the Accounts Chamber of the Republic of Tajikistan Chillazoda Karakhon, today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation in accounting and auditing. The signing took place at the Accounts Chamber Headquarters in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, and was attended by Saudi Ambassador to the Republic of Tajikistan Walid bin Abdulrahman Al-Resheedan. The MoU aims to promote cooperation between the two sides in the areas of financial, performance, and compliance audits within the framework of INTOSAI, ASOSAI, and any other regional organizations of which they are members. This includes providing consultations, conducting seminars, and organizing meetings on areas of financial, performance, and compliance audits. Dr. Alangari expressed his sincere gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister for authorizing him to negotiate and sign the MoU between the two sides. He affirmed that this agreement builds upon similar agreements that GCA has previously concluded with other peers at both regional and international levels. These agreements reflect the high professional status of GCA and its ability to share its exceptional professional expertise with similar bodies in friendly and brotherly countries. The signing of the MoU is a concrete form of GCA's ability to enhance cooperation with its peers on the regional and international levels.
