As part of stc Group's community initiatives to enhance digital awareness for all segments of society in the Kingdom and to achieve the goals of sustainability and social responsibility, the "Smart Bus" is currently touring Shaqra Governorate to enable the elderly to deal with modern technologies after passing through the Quwayiyah and Al-Dawadmi governorates, in cooperation with Huawei. The Smart Bus received in Quwayiyah and Al-Dawadmi over three days each received many elderly beneficiaries who attended training and awareness sessions. The bus received dozens of elderly visitors who were made aware of how to deal with modern technologies and the most important mobile phone applications, and how to obtain services and awareness about internet use and protection from fraud crimes. The bus moved to its third station in Shaqra governorate, continuing its journey to the rest of the Kingdom's provinces. "stc Group", through the Smart Bus project, seeks to enable comprehensive digital transformation and enhance digital awareness by supporting all segments of society by harnessing all modern technologies, starting with the contribution of more than 60 trainers and organizing officials from stc Academy in preparing and developing the bus for the first stage; to design an advanced curriculum that meets the needs of all members of society, including the elderly. The Smart Bus, launched by the governor of the Riyadh region, will head to Shaqra, Rawdat Sudair, Al-Kharj, Hotat Bani Tamim, Al-Aflaj, and Al-Sulail, to reach more than a thousand elderly beneficiaries to enrich their knowledge and empower them in the digital field. The project will continue to hold workshops and advisory sessions for beneficiaries throughout its operation. The Smart Bus project is a continuation of the projects offered by "stc Group" as part of its community initiatives to support communities and non-profit sectors and as a continuation of its efforts in sustainability aimed at defining a sustainable future and doubling the positive environmental and social impact, based on its leading role as the key provider of digital services in the Kingdom and the region.
