Peruvian authorities seized about a tonne of cocaine and arrested 21 people, including nine Colombians and seven Mexicans all belonging to Mexico's Tijuana drug cartel, the Interior Ministry said on Saturday. About 2,183 pounds (990 kg) of cocaine were found wrapped in blocks in two parts of Lima and had been destined for the United States and Europe, the ministry statement said. An anti-drug police source said the bust happened on Friday.
