Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence (SDAIA) and the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) today signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to establish and launch the National Olympiad for Programming and Artificial Intelligence. The memorandum of understanding came during SDAIA's participation in the second edition of the "LEAP 23" conference, taking place in Riyadh from February 6-9, 2023, under the theme "Into New Worlds" as a partner for data and artificial intelligence, at the headquarters of the Riyadh Front for Exhibitions and Conferences. The MoU, which was signed by, Dr. Majed Al-Tuwaijri, SDAIA's Supervisor, and Mawhiba's Secretary General, Dr. Amal Al-Hazzaa, stipulates qualifying students for global information and artificial intelligence competitions to represent the Kingdom in the Olympiad of Artificial Intelligence at the regional and international levels, supporting the projects of students participating in the National Olympiad for Programming and Artificial Intelligence, and implementing enrichment programs in data and artificial intelligence.
