Global Tech Event "LEAP 23" to See Launch of "Rocket Fuel" Competition, "Alibaba Cloud" Hackathon with Total Prize Pool of SR6 Million

The Global Tech Event "LEAP 23", scheduled to take place between February 6 and 9 at the Riyadh Front Exhibition and Convention Center, announced the launch of the "Rocket Fuel" competition and the "Alibaba Cloud" hackathon, with cash prizes amounting to SR6 million, in a move to stimulate startups and highlight pioneering projects, and contribute to developing and building innovative solutions that address technical challenges.
The LEAP 23 conference is organized by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the Saudi Federation for Cyber Security, Programming and Drones, and Tahaluf Company, with the participation of major government and private agencies, and technology and communications companies, as well as major government and private entities, and technology and communications companies, where the Kingdom hosts a group of the world's brightest innovators and investors, and those interested in sustainable technologies from across the globe.
The "Rocket Fuel" competition, supported by the National Technology Development Program (NTDP) and the Misk Foundation, aims to support startups, highlight entrepreneurial projects, and contribute to developing and building innovative solutions that address technical challenges, in which 90 global startups will compete for a chance to be one of 15 startups to be presented to a jury.
The competition offers cash prizes amounting to SR4 million, divided into six categories, including the LEAP Award, which will go to the strongest and most prominent competing company, amounting to $250,000, and the Rising Star Award, $150,000, which will be granted to the best startup with the strongest start, and the Aviatrix Award, worth $150,000, allocated to the best women-lead creative startup company, the Technology for Humanity Award, which will be allocated to the best startup that serves humanity, with a value of $150,000, and two "towards new horizons and artificial intelligence" awards, with a value of $300,000, the first is concerned with the best startup working in the field of Metaverse and Web 3, while the second will go to the best emerging company that provides pioneering solutions in the field of artificial intelligence.
The "Alibaba Cloud" hackathon also aims to enhance cloud technologies in the Kingdom, which is sponsored by the Saudi Telecom Company (STC), through several various challenges that will be set up before the start of the conference, targeting amateurs and local and international professionals with various tracks that include educational and health technologies, government, logistics services, e-commerce, and artificial intelligence, the prizes of which amount to SR2 million.
