Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef held a number of bilateral meetings with ministers concerned with mining affairs as part of the Future Minerals Conference, organized in Riyadh's King Abdul Aziz International Conference Center, under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. Al-Khorayef held separate meetings with South African Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Gwende Mantashe, Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla, Argentinean Minister of Mining Fernanda Ávila, and Bahrain's Minister of Industry and Commerce Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro. Al-Khorayef's meetings with the visiting ministers went over a number of topics of mutual concern in addition to reviewing promising investment opportunities available in the emerging mining region that extends from Africa to central Asia, which is capable of filling the gap in the expected growing demand on mines in the future.
