The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, chaired the Cabinet's session held on Tuesday afternoon at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh. At the outset of the session, the Cabinet reviewed the content of the recent talks held between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and other countries on boosting joint cooperation and advancing relations to take them to broader horizons. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session, Minister of State, Cabinet's Member for Shura Council Affairs, and Acting Minister of Media Dr. Essam bin Saad bin Saeed said that the Cabinet addressed several topics and reports on developments in the region and the world, reaffirming Saudi Arabia's support to international efforts aimed at resolving the Russian-Ukrainian crisis politically in a manner that preserves regional and international security and stability. The Cabinet was briefed on a number of issues on its agenda and issued the following decisions: First: Authorizing the Minister of Sport – or a deputy – to hold talks with the Maldivian side regarding a draft memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Sport in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Community Empowerment of the Republic of Maldives to cooperate in the field of sport, sign it, and refer the final signed copy to proceed with formal procedures. Second: Approving a headquarters agreement between the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Digital Cooperation Organization. Third: Approving a general agreement for cooperation between the governments of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepa. Fourth: Authorizing the Minister of Culture and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Royal Institute of Traditional Arts – or a deputy – to hold talks with the Italian side regarding a draft memorandum of understanding between the Royal Institute of Traditional Arts in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the University of Polytechnic in Milan in the field of traditional arts, sign it, and refer the final signed copy to proceed with formal procedures. Fifth: Authorizing the Minister of Communications and Information Technology – or a deputy – to hold talks with the UN Development Program regarding a draft memorandum of understanding for cooperation in digital transformation between the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the UN Development Program, sign it, and refer the final signed copy to proceed with formal procedures. Sixth: Authorizing the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development and Chairman of the Institute of Public Administration – or a deputy – to hold talks with the Secretariat General of the Gulf Cooperation Council regarding a draft memorandum of understanding in the field of training and administrative development between the Institute of Public Administration in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Secretariat General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, sign it, and refer the final signed copy to proceed with formal procedures. Seventh: Approving the transit agreement among Arab countries (the amended). Eighth: Approving a memorandum of cooperation in the intellectual property field between the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore. Ninth: Amending the number of members of the Board of Directors of the National Water Company in Paragraph (A) Article 15 of the National Water Company's Statute – issued under the Royal Decree No. (M/1) on 13/1/1429 Hijri to read 10 members, where the Company's Board of Directors shall be chaired by the Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture and include representatives from several government agencies and the private sector, who are: Eng. Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al-Obeikan, Eng. Ali bin Saleh Al-Barak, Faisal bin Youssef Jadu and Nizar bin Abdulaziz Al-Tuwaijri. Tenth: Accrediting the final account of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority for a previous fiscal year. Eleventh: Approving promotions to the 15th and 14th ranks. The Cabinet also reviewed several issues on its agenda and took necessary procedures regarding them.
