Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani met with Algerian Prime Minister Ayman Benabderrahmane, on the sidelines of Riyadh Arab-China Summit for Cooperation and Development, which is being hosted by Riyadh. During the meeting, they discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of developing them in various fields and levels of cooperation. They also discussed a number of issues of common concern. The Iraqi News Agency reported that Al-Sudani affirmed Iraq's desire to strengthen relations between the two countries, and the importance of activating the memorandums of understanding signed between Iraq and Algeria in a way that enhances the interests of the two peoples in development and prosperity.
