World Arabic Language Day events are scheduled to kick off at UNESCO headquarters in Paris under the theme: "The Contribution of the Arabic Language to Human Civilization and Culture" on Friday December 16, with the organization of UNESCO in cooperation with the Permanent Delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Foundation. The celebration is rich in events and panel discussions. The second meeting of the heads of Arabic language education to be held on the sidelines of the ceremony, which will see the launch of the Arabic Language Education Curriculum Series for non-speakers, which was one of the recommendations of the first meeting, where the series was supported by the foundation and authored by Wadi Makkah Company, the investment arm of Umm Al-Qura University in Makkah. A panel discussion (Arab Latinos) on promoting intercultural dialogue for social cohesion will also be held during the ceremony, and on the artistic side the ceremony will witness a live drawing of a mural and a story show via drawing on sand. The Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Foundation participates in the event as a sponsor and supporter of the event as part of foundation's program to support the Arabic language at UNESCO and as part of the foundation's continued contributions to enhance the presence of Arabic, highlight its importance, depth and enrichment of world culture and its role in the cultural and linguistic construction of nations in a way that contributes to the promotion of human rapprochement among peoples. The foundation also constantly develops many activities, events, workshops and meetings accompanying the World Arabic Language Day through previous sessions of the ceremony.
