The U.S. military is investigating the killing of two Afghans in an incident involving American troops near the Iranian border, a spokesman said Saturday. The incident occurred on Feb. 11 near Shindand Air Base in western Afghanistan, where American and Afghan troops are based, Maj. Steve Wollman said. He gave few details. "Regrettably, two local nationals were killed, and we're investigating the situation right now," Wollman said.
