The President of the Human Rights Commission (HRC), Dr. Hala bint Mazyad Al-Tuwaijri, met here today with the Assistant Director-General for the Social and Human Sciences of UNESCO, Gabriela Ramos, on the sidelines of the Global Ministerial Forum to Combat Racism and Discrimination organized by UNESCO and hosted by Mexico. During the meeting, the two sides discussed a number of issues of common interest and aspects of bilateral cooperation with UNESCO in the social, humanitarian and human rights fields. Al-Tuwaijri also highlighted the Kingdom's adoption of human rights reforms in general and the empowerment and support enjoyed by Saudi women, pointing to the Kingdom's pioneering efforts in the fields of combating racism and discrimination, through its national laws and regulations and international commitments that reject all forms of discrimination, hatred and intolerance.
