One million, four hundred thirty five thousands and one hundred seventy four multi-national pilgrims left Makkah by yesterday February 17 after having performed Hajj this year, according to official figures. The Director General of Makkah branch of the Ministry of Hajj Dr. Ameen bin Yassin Fattani said out of the 1,435,174 pilgrims who left Makkah, those heading for Almadinah to visit and greet the Prophet have been transported in 15,102 buses while those heading for Jeddah en route home have been transported in 17,482 buses. He said the authorities and charities have distributed 30,327,095 cubic liters of Zamzam holy water, guided 9,550 pilgrims in Makkah and 16,521 in the sacred places in the outskirts of Makkah, received 495 lost items, out of which 282 have been returned to their owners and received 170 different complaints from pilgrims raising wide-range issues like people jamming, lack of lodging, short of some items and violations of housing contracts.
