The Croatian parliament on Thursday confirmed Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic as the new foreign minister in the first Cabinet shuffle since the conservative government took power over a year ago. The chamber also approved a new health minister and a deputy prime minister for economic affairs. Grabar Kitarovic, 36, got support from 84 deputies in the 151-seat chamber. She will replace Miomir Zuzul, who resigned earlier this year because of allegations that he was involved in a corruption affair. Zuzul denied the claims, made by local media, but the government of Prime Minister Ivo Sanader feared the scandal could jeopardize the country's efforts to join the European Union, according to a report of the Associated Press.
