Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, has met in Sharm El-Sheikh with Moroccan Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development Dr. Leila Benali, on the sidelines of the Saudi Green Initiative Forum, held in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, in the presence of the Deputy Minister for Mining Affairs Eng. Khalid bin Saleh Al-Mudaifer. The meeting's topics included ways to improve collaboration between the two sides in the mining sector, a review of investment opportunities, and the ministry's goals for luring quality investments. For his part, the Moroccan minister expressed an interest in learning from Saudi Arabia's successful experience in mining sector governance, with both parties agreeing on the importance of developing human resources and training to achieve growth and sustainability in the sector. Al-Khorayef invited Dr. Benali to attend the International Mining Conference, which will be hosted by Riyadh next January.
