Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef held a bilateral meeting with the Minister of Mining and Heavy Industry of Mongolia Ganbaatar Jambal and later with Secretary to the Government of India, Ministry of Mines, Vivek Bharadawaj on the sidelines of the International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC) held in Sydney, Australia. The Minister discussed during the two meetings the Kingdom's eagerness to expand economic, trade, and investment ties between the Kingdom and both Mongolia and India. Alkhorayef emphasized the need for increased collaboration between the two governments in order to fully utilize the Kingdom's mineral resources and reap the benefits of its estimated SAR 1.3 trillion in mineral wealth. The two meetings covered a wide range of topics, from shared concerns to a rundown of the five mining opportunities announced in conjunction with the Kingdom's participation in the International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC) and the minister's official visit to Australia. The Saudi delegation visiting Australia consists of leaders from the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, the Ministry of Investment, the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP), the Saudi Geological Survey, the Saudi Industrial Development Fund, and the Industrial Center. The visit includes four Australian cities: Canberra, Brisbane, Perth, and Sydney, as well as participation in the International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC) in Sydney, Australia, between 2-4 November 2022.
