Adviser to the Royal Court and Supervisor General of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, Tuesday represented the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the works of the Polio Program Donors' Conference in Berlin. Dr. Al Rabeeah said, in his speech during the conference, that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is keen to assume its humanitarian responsibilities in combating measles and polio by contributions, through the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF), the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunisation (GAVI), amounted USD 57,666,667. It has also implemented projects to combat measles and polio in a number of countries with an amount of USD 15 million. Dr. Al Rabeeah added that as an extension of the Kingdom's efforts towards combating this epidemic, it signed two agreements to implement two projects to prevent and respond to the outbreak of measles and polio epidemics in high-risk countries, in partnership with WHO and UNICEF at an amount of USD 10 million.
