Serbian President Boris Tadic called on Sunday for Kosovo's Serbs and Albanians to reconcile, as he made the first visit by a Serb head of state to the U.N.-ruled province since the 1999 war. "We have a history of hate and destruction in the Balkans, including Kosovo, and it must stop once and for all," Tadic said. "Today Pristina has only a few Serb families left. We are fighting for a multi-ethnic Kosovo, as it was down the ages."
