King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center (KFSHRC) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Kite-Gilead Sciences Company to cooperate in clinical research and experiments, medical education, scientific exchange and patients' access to innovative treatments, with special focus on cellular therapy, blood diseases and tumors to enhance patients' care in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The memo is part of strategic plans to build up partnerships and cooperation with global medical institutions to develop specialized research and medical services according to the highest standards under the entrepreneurship and expertise enjoyed by KFSHRC as an advanced medical institution at the regional and international levels. Both institutions share the goal of providing high-level healthcare, educational and research services to speed up the positive impact on the health and welfare of patients. The MoU will enhance cooperation between the two institutions in the fields of exchanging clinical, educational and research expertise in the tumor field, and will include providing the healthcare community with the latest information to improve the understanding of available treatment options and support healthcare for patients with high quality within an environment of an advanced global level. The memo with Kite-Gilead Sciences Company will last for three years, which can be extended after realizing the joint vision to produce pioneering research at the global level through working jointly to build strategic research alliances.
