The Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) and the European Union held here today a political dialogue. During the meeting, points of view on a number of regional and international issues of common interest were exchanged, such as the situation in Yemen, Libya and Iraq, developments in Iran's nuclear file, and Iran's destabilizing activities in the region. The latest developments in Afghanistan and Ukraine were also discussed. GCC Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Negotiations Dr. Abdulaziz Hamad Al-Owaisheq said that the political dialogue comes within the framework of the joint work program (2022-2027), which was approved by the GCC-European Joint Ministerial Council in February 2022.
