The Secretary-General of the Muslim World League (MWL), Chairman of the Association of Muslim Scholars, Dr. Mohammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, launched here today the MWL's urgent campaign for the relief of the Pakistani people, which aims to secure the food, housing and health needs of tens of thousands of people affected by the floods, in a number of Pakistani provinces. The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, received in Islamabad Dr. Al-Issa, where they reviewed the conditions of those affected by the floods. Sharif praised the MWL's efforts in spreading the culture of tolerance and peace, which reflects the true image of Islam. In the same context, Al-Issa met with the Minister of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Mufti Abdul Shakoor. During the meeting, they discussed a number of issues related to Islamic affairs and humanitarian work in the region, and prospects for bilateral cooperation in this regard.
