Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Minister of Sports, President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee (SOPC) and Vice President of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), wil head the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's delegation to the meeting of the OCA Executive Board and General Assembly, which will kick off tomorrow and last for two days, in Cambodia. The Saudi delegation includes Prince Fahd bin Jalwi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed, vice president of the SOPC, member of executive board and president of the education committee at OCA, while SOPC is represented by board members Prince Abdullah bin Fahd bin Abdullah and Adwa Al-Arifi, in the presence of NEOM CEO Nadhmi Al-Nasr as part of 2029 TROJENA, which is a candidate to host the Asian Winter Games. During the participation, the Saudi delegates will review the file of TROJENA to host the Asian Winter Games in 2029 prior to voting for the host during the general assembly meeting on Tuesday, where the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia presented its bid to host the games in August, where TROJENA, which is considered a global mountainous tourist destination in NEOM – if it wins – will be the first city to host the winter event in the western part of Asia, after China, Japan, South Korea and Kazakhstan. The meeting will also go over the file of Riyadh's preparations to host the 2025 2017 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games and the Asian Games (Riyadh 2034). The General Assembly will also discuss the financial and administrative reports of the OCA and the latest developments regarding China's Hangzhou, Zhejiang preparations to host 2023 Asian Games.
