Abdullah bin Mohammad Abdulhakeem, an Afghan national, was beheaded here on Saturday after being convicted of smuggling heroin into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, said a statement released by the Interior Ministry. "The culprit was convicted by the Shariah Court, and the verdict was approved by the Cassation Court and the Supreme Judicial Council", said the statement reiterating the determination of the Saudi government on ensuring law and order and to severely punishing criminals.
