The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture (MEWA), the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), the Google Cloud Platform for Cloud Computing, and the Climate Engine Foundation for climate research have announced the launch of the scientific program for Earth foresight, which will contribute to facing the environmental, water and agricultural challenges caused by climate change, and pave the way for SDAIA and the MEWA to lead climate efforts using artificial intelligence. This came during the work of the Global AI Summit, organized by SDAIA at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center, in Riyadh, from 13-15 September. The program relies on ground data processing techniques and artificial intelligence to provide sustainability solutions to address the risks of climate change and enhance environmental protection at the level of the Kingdom and the region, focusing on five aspects to secure a more sustainable environment, including environmental preservation, pollution control, sustainable agriculture, climate and nature protection, and water and food security.
