European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso told Bosnia's Prime Minister Adnan Terzic Tuesday his country stood to gain from added aid and trade if it fully cooperated in handing over indicted war crimes suspects to the international war crimes tribunal. Barroso said "good cooperation, increased cooperation" with the tribunal in The Hague, Netherlands was the "key element" in forging closer ties between Bosnia and the 25-nation bloc. "If the reforms continue, and if we see this increased cooperation with the international tribunal ... by May we can make a decision on a stabilization and association agreement with Bosnia, but a lot has to be done until then," Barroso said. Terzic said his country was keen on "strengthening cooperation" with the EU. "We have the same goal, on how we can help each other," he told reporters.
