, the capital city of Qassim region which is located in the center of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and is far away about 350 km northwest of Riyadh has participated in the 14th annual conference of UNESCO Creative Cities Network, scheduled to be finished later today in the Brazilian city of Santos. The city of Buraidah has registered its name as the first Gulf city and the second Arab city in culinary arts. The participation aims to introduce the city of Buraidah and strengthen partnership with member cities to achieve the goals of UNESCO Creative Cities Network, work on exchanging experiences and discuss issues that promote sustainable development of cities in all branches of the Network. The chief liaison officer for the city of Buraidah with UNESCO, Suleiman bin Ali Al-Qafari, said that the participation came under the directives and follow-up of Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Qassim region, and in response to the invitation addressed to the city of Buraidah by the NESCO Creative Cities Network. It is worth mentioning that this participation comes after the announcement of the city of Buraidah joining the Creative Cities Network in November 2021 in the field of culinary arts, as 295 creative cities around the world were invited, representing 90 countries.
