Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for the Arab States Dr Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf has stressed the importance of promoting economic growth and the strategic partnership between the GCC and the United Kingdom (UK), to serve common interests. The Secretary General's statement came as he received Ambassador of the UK to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Neil Crumpton today at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in Riyadh. During the meeting, several topics were discussed, including the developments in the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) negotiations between the GCC and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (GCC-UK FTA), which was recently held, in addition to the importance of promoting trade in goods, services, advanced technologies and other fields for the benefit of both sides. The officials also discussed the latest developments on the regional and international arenas, as well as topics of common interest.
