(Jeddah Security and Development Summit), Energy Minister visits "KSA Green Transition Journey Exhibition'' held on sidelines of Jeddah Security and Development Summit
Published in Saudi Press Agency on 15 - 07 - 2022

Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Energy, has visited " KSA Green Transition Journey Exhibition'' held on the sidelines of Jeddah Security and Development Summit, in the presence of Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, Acting Minister of Media, where Prince Abdulaziz toured the latest preparations for the launch of the exhibition.
The exhibition focuses on the role of Saudi leadership in promoting green transformation within the Kingdom's Vision 2030, starting with the necessary requirements and allocating sufficient investments, which represent a strategy that includes all development policies of the Kingdom, as the Kingdom occupies advanced positions in global indicators of environmental performance, which contributed to boosting its transformation into a center that leads the world in addressing the negative aspects of climate change.
The exhibition, which covers a total area of about 700 square meters, is held in the lobby of the main meeting room in the Convention Center of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Jeddah and includes seven sections, each of which focuses on highlighting one of the stages of transformation.
The exhibition visitors will get first-hand enlightenment on the Kingdom's " Saudi Green" and "Middle East Green" initiatives and their objectives, which were launched by HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defense and the subsequent initiatives, and the volume of investments in these two initiatives.
The exhibition also illustrates the circular carbon economy approach, which the Kingdom has adopted, and highlights the role and importance of the Kingdom as a responsible and reliable global supplier of energy supplies, and its efforts in conducting studies and research in various fields of the energy industry to enhance and develop its capabilities.
It will also shed the light on the most important features of the Kingdom's orientation towards sustainability, including diversifying the resources of the national economy, developing strategic economic sectors, creating quality jobs, and attracting and encouraging national and foreign investments in 13 strategic economic sectors, including 54 companies, as the volume of targeted investments is expected at around SR1 trillion by 2025.
The exhibition utilizes various means of audio, visual, electronic, and interactive displays, in addition to showcasing "electric cars and others" with the deployment of Saudi male and female ushers to receive visitors and provide them with a full explanation of the exhibition and its topics.
