The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued its daily forecast report for the weather in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The report said that thunderstorms, accompanied by active dusty winds are forecasted to fall on southern parts of Eastern Region (the Empty Quarter) and southern parts of Riyadh region (Wadi Al Dawasir), as well as Najran region, reducing horizontal sight, while the surface dusty winds will be active on the coastal parts, extending from Makkah region to Jazan region and the sky will be partly cloudy on Jazan, Asir and Baha regions, with chance of thunderstorms, preceded by active winds. The report showed that the surface wind movement in the Red Sea will be northerly to northwesterly at speed of 15-30 km/h on northern part and at speed of 20-40 km/h on central part and westerly to northwesterly at speed of 25-45 km/h southern part, while the surface wind movement in the Arabian Gulf will be northeasterly to southeasterly at speed 15-30 on southern part and northwesterly to northeasterly at speed of 15-30 km/h on northern part.
