An Italian journalist has been kidnapped by an armed group in Iraq, the news agency "ANSA" said Friday in a report from Baghdad. Giuliana Sgrena, a reporter for newspaper Il Manifesto, was stopped and forced from her car in Baghdad, ANSA said, quoting the journalist's interpreter. Officials at the Italian Foreign Ministry said they were looking into the report. Il Manifesto said Sgrena had been working for paper in Iraq, but they could not confirm the report.
