The CEO of the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), Sultan bin Abdulrahman Al-Marshad, received here today, a Zambian delegation, headed by the Zambian Deputy Secretary to the Cabinet-Finance and Economic Development Siazongo David Siakalenge, accompanied by representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Finance, in addition to the Chargé d'Affairs of the Zambian Embassy in Riyadh. During the meeting, the two sides discussed issues of common interest, development projects and programs financed by the Fund in Zambia, and existing projects including the SFD-Funded King Salman Specialist Hospital project, and ways to overcome obstacles hindering other projects. The Zambian official expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by the Kingdom and for its contributions and support for development projects in Zambia through SFD to support beneficiary countries through those projects that contribute to achieving sustainable development goals. The Kingdom, through SFD, provided several development loans to implement development projects in various vital sectors in Zambia. The Fund contributed to providing four development loans to finance and implement four development projects and programs in different sectors in Zambia, in addition to signing three non-oil export agreements during the past years, valued at $45 million.
