Prince Badr bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Makkah Region and Vice Chairman of the Central Hajj Committee, inspected today the readiness of the facilities in the Pilgrims Hall at King Abdulaziz Airport and the Holy Sites to receive the pilgrims for Hajj 1443 AH, accompanied by the Minister of Transport, Eng. Saleh Al-Jasser; Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah; Director of Public Security Lieutenant-General Mohammed Al-Bassami; CEO of Jeddah Airports Company Ayman Abo Abah and officials of the relevant authorities. Prince Badr toured the Hajj and Umrah halls complex at King Abdulaziz International Airport, during which he was briefed on the progress of the operational plan to receive the pilgrims coming to perform the Hajj rituals, as well as touring the government agencies concerned with receiving pilgrims and providing the necessary services to them in the complex and the bus sorting area in Terminal 1 where he was briefed on the work progress. Then, the Deputy Governor of Makkah Region also visited the Al-Haramain train station at King Abdulaziz International Airport and boarded a train trip from Jeddah to Makkah, during which he was briefed on the capabilities provided by the airport through its connection with the Al-Haramain train station, which contributes to providing the best services to the pilgrims and facilitating their access to the holy sites to perform the Hajj rituals with ease and comfort. A total of 35 trains, each with a capacity of 417 to 800 passengers, will be made available to transport the pilgrims between Jeddah and Makkah on 30 trips per day during this year's Hajj season. Prince Badr later visited the Holy Sites and was briefed on the project to develop and improve the areas adjacent to Jabal Al-Rahma.
