King Khalid International Airport has won the Most Improved Airport Award for 2022, which was granted on the sidelines of the Passenger Terminal Expo in Paris during the Skytrax World Awards Ceremony that is specialized in evaluating airlines and airports in over 550 airports around the world. King Khalid International Airport also ranked 29th on the list of Skytrax for the best 100 airports in the world, advancing 29 ranks after it was 58th in last year's classification, and it ranked third on the list of the best 10 airports in Middle East airports and at the level of the best airport employees, the capital's airport ranked third. This award relies on comprehensive standards for the services offered through frontline sites. CEO of the Riyadh Airport Company Eng. Mohammed Al-Maghloth said that this achievement has a great importance to match the aspirations of the Saudi Vision 2030 and targets of the National Strategy for Civil Aviation, expressing his appreciation to the wise leadership that provided all support to enhance and develop air facilities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This year's Skytrax Awards rely on questionnaires about international airports, which were filled by more than 100 nationalities of passengers through airports over eight months, where the study evaluated the clients' experiences through main performance indicators at the airport, including arrival registration, movement, shopping, security, passports, customs and leaving gates.
