OPEC to hold production quota steady

OPEC ministers have agreed here today to hold their official quota at 27 million barrels per day, Sheikh Ahmad Fahd al-Sabah, the Kuwaiti oil minister and OPEC president said.
He added that OPEC would temporarily abandon its target price range of 22-28 dollars per barrel adopted in 2000.
OPEC ministers are slated to meet in Isfahan, Iran, in March.
