The Minister of Education of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh, currently on an official visit to London to take part in the International Educational Forum 2022, running from 22 -25 May met on the sidelines of the event in London today with British Secretary of State for Education Nadhim Zahawi as well as the the Prime Minister's Special Representative to Saudi Arabia for Education Steve Smith. During the meeting, the two sides reviewed ways of enhancing the current cooperation between the two countries in the educational and scientific fields as well as the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques Program on Scholarship according to the recent strategy launched by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, in addition to reviewing Saudi Arabia's great experience in the field of e-learning and distance education. The meeting also addressed ways of enhancing opportunities of educational, academic and research cooperation between the two countries and developing educational curricula including teaching Arabic language through internet and training Saudi doctors program. The meeting was attended by Dr. Salih Al-Gesoomi, Undersecretary of the ministry for International Cooperation; Dr. Ohood Al-Fares, Undersecretary for Public Education and Dr. Mohamed El-Mugbel, Undersecretary for Educational Programs as well as the Saudi Cultural Attache at the Saudi embassy in the UK Dr. Amal Fattani.
