The fourth special meeting of the UN Security Council Counter-Terrorism committee in Almaty ended its deliberations here on Friday. Participants accepted a joint statement. One of the main issues of the world community is the consolidation of efforts of different countries in struggle against terrorism. During two days the politicians, diplomats, economists and representatives of 36 different international and regional organizations discussed how to struggle against terrorism. The participants discussed the counteraction to the financial terrorism using international legal instruments. A special attention was given to security of air and sea ports. The UN representatives praised the positive role played by Kazakhstan and its active cooperation with Counter-Terrorism Committee. The meeting agreed on three main issues. Firstly, to develop programs, that make states join the 12 UN conventions on struggle against terrorism. Secondly, Counter Terrorism Committee of UN Security Council must value the necessary national programs to make the efforts of all countries more effective. Thirdly, an active dialogue between states is necessary to fulfill the obligations. SPA 1313 Local Time 1013 GMT
