Bird flu has claimed its 10th life in the last month in Vietnam, doctors said Friday. Thirty-year-old Nguyen Xuan Dai from the northern province of Phu Tho died Thursday after being hospitalized last weekend, said Cao Van Vien, deputy director of the Institute of Tropical Disease at Bach Mai Hospital in Hanoi. "He has tested positive to bird flu," Vien said. Doctors confirmed two more infections in the north of Vietnam. A 30-year-old man from Hung Yen province and a 60-year-old man from Hanoi, said Nguyen Tran Hien, acting director of institute of Hygiene and Epidemic in Hanoi. Both men are in stable condition, the deputy director of the hospital said. In the south of Vietnam, a 13-year-old girl, has tested positive to bird flu and is in a critical condition, said Ha Manh Tuan, the deputy director of the Ho Chi Minh City Paediatrics Hospital No. 1. The girl's 35-year-old mother died of bird flu last weekend.
