The CEO of Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) Sultan bin Abdulrahman Al-Marshad received today at the fund's headquarters in Riyadh the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Maldives Ibrahim Ameer and his accompanying delegation in the presence of Maldives' Ambassador to the Kingdom Mohamed Khaleel. During the meeting, they discussed issues of common interest, the Fund's developmental projects in the Republic of Maldives, and following up on the progress of their implementation. The Maldivian Minister expressed his thanks and gratitude to the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, noting that the projects and programs provided by the Kingdom through the Fund contribute to the development of infrastructure and basic services for the population in the Maldives, and have had a positive and tangible impact on the lives of the people. It is worth noting that the Saudi Fund for Development has financed 13 development projects and programs in the Republic of Maldives in vital sectors including infrastructure, health, transportation, housing, urban development , seaports, and other sectors.
