Ten people were wounded early Monday when a car bomb exploded at a checkpoint near the Baghdad headquarters of the Iraqi National Accord, the party led by interim Prime Minister Iyad Allawi, the health ministry said. The building is located in the heavily-fortified Green Zone, which also houses the Iraqi interim government and the U.S. and British embassies. Officials of Allawi's party said the prime minister was not in the area at the time. Health ministry officials said seven policemen and three civilians were wounded. Meanwhile, 25 policemen at Sikak police station in Bayji, 250 kilometers north of Baghdad, submitted their resignations after they were ordered to guard polling centers, police said.
