Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, Saudi Minister of Culture and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Film Commission concluded today his three-day visit to the Republic of India. The Prince headed a delegation consisting of the Film Commission and representatives from the National Company aiming at discussing opportunities for cooperation with the film industry in India. The Minister of Culture discussed with a number of officials, producers and filmmakers, enhancing cooperation with the Indian film industry, the capabilities and incentives it offers to attract a number of Indian films for filming inside the Kingdom, as well as cooperation in implementing training programs, developing investment cooperation opportunities in the film industries, and supporting the infrastructure system for production in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Prince Badr said that the visit comes as part of the Kingdom's efforts to develop its capabilities in the film industry, in an increasingly interconnected world, and it has become necessary to promote meaningful cultural exchange with the world, and the film is a powerful tool in this context, in addition to its important contribution to the economy. He added that our visit to India has enabled us to strengthen our relationship with the thriving film industry in India, in an effort to explore more partnership opportunities and knowledge exchange, which will help us achieve the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030." For his part, CEO of the Film Commission Abdullah Al Ayyaf Al-Qahtani said that in light of the infrastructure, development and promising talents, the Kingdom is ready to be an attractive location for filmmakers in the world, hoping that this cooperation will result in further development of the film sector in the Kingdom.
