The Arab Observatory for Human Rights, affiliated with the Arab Parliament, has welcomed holding the Yemeni consultations in Riyadh under the auspices of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for Arab States, praising the announcement of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen to halt military operations in Yemen to support efforts of finding a political solution to end the Yemeni crisis. The observatory, in a statement today, commended efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and what it offered of initiatives to end the crisis to realize peace and security in Yemen, stressing the importance of supporting efforts to end the Yemeni crisis, whose humanitarian repercussions are exacerbating, through a political solution based on the accredited references of the Gulf initiative and its executive mechanism, the outcomes of the comprehensive national Yemeni dialogue, and the UN Security Council Resolution No. 2216. The Arab Observatory for Human Rights called on all Yemeni sides to build on these consultations and respond to endeavors seeking to reach a solution to the crisis, renewing, at the same time, its utmost condemnation of the continuous Houthi attacks on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, targeting vital facilities and infrastructure, threatening the lives of civilians, and terrifying safe people, in addition to Houthi attacks on renewable energy sources that threaten international peace and security and the stability of the entire Arab region.
