Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Minister of Sports and Chairman of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, extended his congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, and to the Saudi people on the occasion of the qualification of the Saudi national football team to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. The Prince added: "The leadership of our country has given the sports sector all the attention and support that we have begun in the past period to reap its fruits on the ground, seen in the form of several great achievements and successes for the Kingdom's sport in various domains, with great efforts whose heroes were the young men and women of our dear homeland." He concluded by saying: "I congratulate the "Greens", the members of the technical and administrative staff, and employees of the Saudi Football Federation, led by my brother, Yasser Al-Mashal, for this great achievement, which came after extensive efforts and hard work that lead to qualifying for this great global forum, which confirms our team's high professionalism at the Asian level, and evidence of the great technical capabilities of the Saudi player.
