Under Patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research to Hold 21st Scientific Forum for Hajj, Umrah and Visit Research on Wednesday
Under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Madinah, on Wednesday is scheduled to attend the 21st Scientific Forum for Hajj, Umrah and Visit Research and the accompanying exhibition. The two-day event will be organized by Umm Al Qura University, represented by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research, at the King Salman International Convention Center under the theme "Digital Transformation in the Hajj, Umrah and Visit System." Dean of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research at Umm Al Qura University Dr. Turki bin Suleiman Al-Amr said that the forum will be held with the participation of several specialized academic researchers; interested people in Hajj, Umrah and visit studies and their research; representatives of public institutions, the private sector and the third sector; businesspeople and investors; experts in digital transformation; financial institutions and banks; educational institutions; and youth leaders specialized in digital transformation. Al-Amr noted that the forum aims at highlighting top experiments and efforts in digital transformation in serving visitors of the Two Holy Mosques; providing a scientific incubator for publication in digital transformation; providing a scientific environment to exchange experiments, expertise and learned lessons; and encouraging innovation and scientific research in the field of sector services, noting that the event serves 16 targets and 7 programs within the targets and programs of the Saudi Vision 2030 related to the structure and services of Hajj, Umrah and visit sector and serving guests of the Two Holy Mosques. He added that the forum includes 6 scientific sessions with the participation of 30 speakers to discuss the governance of digital transformation in the Hajj and Umrah system, applying digital transformation to improve the service of pilgrims and develop decision-making and provided services. The dean pointed out that the forum will include workshops with specialized experts and interested people and an accompanying exhibition that will see the participation of public and private sectors working in the system of Hajj, Umrah and visit, where the exhibition targets several sectors that offer direct and indirect services to pilgrims and provides participating institutions with an opportunity to acquaint the public with their products and services in the Hajj, Umrah and visitation system. Events accompanying the forum include the Hajathon 2022, which aims at utilizing young energies and connecting them with a great occasion like Hajj, as part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's interest in stimulating the innovative climate, contributing to supporting the youth energies and providing them with various opportunities.
