The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture (MEWA) represented by the Agriculture Agency has inaugurated the first Saudi farm exporting Murciano goats, as the first license obtained by livestock breeders, to export this distinctive quality of goats in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in the presence of the Ministry's Undersecretary for Agriculture Eng. Ahmed bin Saleh Al-Ayada, at the Ministry's headquarters in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Director General of the General Animal Production Department at the ministry, Dr. Al-Arabi Al-Ameem explained that the Murciano or Murcia-Granada goat breed produces an average 800 to 1000 liters of milk annually, with a lactation period of about 210 days.
