The delegation of the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), led by the SFD's CEO Sultan bin Abdulrahman Al-Marshad, in the presence of the Prime Minister of Djibouti Abdoulkader Kamil Mohamed, laid the foundation stone for the renovation project of the Djibouti-Jalafi road, funded by the Fund with an amount of $120 million. The project contributes to the rehabilitation of the 60 km road from Jalafi on the Ethiopian border towards the capital, Djibouti, which will be implemented by the Saudi Al-Ayuni Investment and Contracting Company. The Prime Minister of Djibouti valued the support provided by the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through the SFD, to achieve trade exchange between Djibouti and its neighboring countries. Al-Marshad said that financing of these projects emanates from the keenness of the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to build bridges of development cooperation with Djibouti, and to support its efforts to develop infrastructure, and promote economic and social development.
