The Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) signed today in the Republic of Cameroon a bilateral agreement to postpone the debt owed to development projects financed by the SFD in Cameroon, with the Minister of Finance of Cameroon, in the presence of the Saudi Ambassador to Cameroon Abdulelah bin Mohammad Al-Shuaibi, and a number of officials. This falls within the initiative of the G20, headed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, for the year 2020, regarding the debts deferral owed by the poorest countries. The agreement aims to postpone the amounts owed by Cameroon for development projects amounting to USD3 million and reschedule them over a period of 6 years.
